Day 1 of the 2015 Coca Cola Games was incident free.
Chief of Operations, ACP Rusiate Tudravu said close to seventy officers from various units were deployed to monitor security at the ANZ National Stadium and the students and supporters enjoyed the best of the secondary schools competition without any incidents.
He added that the Officers were also deployed to Suva in anticipation of the spillover of numbers in the capital city last night.
ACP Tudravu urges parents and guardians to be aware of their children’s whereabouts especially if they intend to be at the after functions that are usually organized.
He stressed that there will be strict enforcement of the Minor Offences Act as well as the Liqour Act so that the students do not enter nightclubs.
