Darshani says that her parents were her motivation to become successful

HFC Senior Foreign Exchange Dealer Dipika Darshani says her motivation towards her career is from her parents and family and they are the ones who pushed her to come to this success.

Darshani was one of the people who got a certificate and $500 cheque in the 30 under 30 event yesterday.

She always wanted to work in a bank and is now in the banking industry for the past 8 years.

Darshani says she has faced a lot of challenges in her life as customer service has to deal with a lot of people and every person has a different personality and she had to gauge and know how to address people’s concerns without making them uncomfortable.

She says that previously women were penalised and discriminated but now employers of Fiji are changing and are giving equal opportunities to women and men.
