Fiji Airways has confirmed that its A330 aircraft Island of Namuka‑i‑Lau is expected to return to service on Monday the 1st of June upon completion of repair work in Brisbane.
The aircraft which was preparing to depart for Los Angeles from Nadi was hit by ground handling equipment, operated by ground handling company ATS.
The A330 is expected to operate a Sydney‑Nadi service on Monday, and the airline anticipates a return to normal schedule next Tuesday.
Two Fiji Airways flights between Sydney and Nadi this Saturday will be operated by chartered aircraft, as the airline attempts to minimize disruptions.
Fiji Airways says it understands the disappointment and frustrations of its passengers who have experienced delays and disruptions in this two‑week period.
