Acting Prime Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has said there needs to be a culture of change in the Fiji Revenue Customs Authority.
While opening the Fiji Institute of Accountants symposium on the 2015 Companies Act at GPH, Sayed-Khaiyum even said that FRCA has been demonized by some accounting and law firms.
He said it is time for a change on how things should be done.
Sayed-Khaiyum told the participants that by modernizing laws they will be able to then register companies lot more easily and ensure buy backs.
He added that the government wants to make Fiji more attractive to foreign investors.
Over 320 participants including business people, board chairmen, accountants and directors are attending one day symposium.
