Court will decide on Ashneel Singh’s compensation - Minister

Minister for Defence, Timoci Natuva said the court will decide on whether Ashneel Singh’s family will get compensation after Singh’s death in a road accident last year.

This is after Opposition MP Prem Singh asked the Minister whether Singh’s family has been compensated by the South African government after Singh died in a road accident involving a South African diplomat in October last year.

Natuva said Police have made the submission and they do not have any other means of trying to come up with the solution regarding compensation.

He said the investigation has been completed and submitted to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Natuva said it is out of the hands of the Fiji Police Force and the Ministry.
