An internet dating couple who plotted an Islamic State‑inspired bomb attack over the Christmas holidays has been jailed.
Munir Mohammed was handed a life sentence with a minimum of 14 years and Rowaida El‑Hassan was jailed for 12 years with five more years on extended licence.
Mohammed enlisted the help of pharmacist Rowaida El‑Hassan, drawing on her knowledge of chemicals needed to make a bomb after seeking her out on dating website SingleMuslim.com.
