Cook Islands Member of parliament, Selina Napa has welcomed the stand which the Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has made against domestic violence.
Napa says women are the cornerstone in their homes and families and should be respected.
She says women should not violated by their partners.
30 Pacific women Parliamentarians from Fiji, the Cook Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, Kiribati, the Marshall Islands, Nauru, Niue, Papua New Guinea, Palau, Samoa, the Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu.
A further 21 Parliamentarians from Australia and New Zealand are also present in the 3 day meeting which ends today.
