The Consumer Council of Fiji is urging all Fijians to plan well before spending their money during this Diwali festive season.
Consumer Council of Fiji CEO Premila Kumar said that sometimes people tend to go overboard in their spending and are left with empty pockets after the Diwali festive season.
Kumar said that families need to sit down together and set a fixed amount of money to spend and work around it.
She added that the Consumer Council of Fiji has received complains about certain products in the past and people should always double check when buying as traders tend to sell their old stock during the Diwali festive season.
