The Consumer Council of Fiji is receiving complaints daily about traders increasing the prices of goods.
CEO Premila Kumar says these complaints include the increase in prices of hardware items, food and vegetables.
She says they are investigating some of these cases and if there is a breach, they will forward the matter to the Commerce Commission.
Kumar is urging consumers to bring evidence such as receipts and photos to help the Council in investigating the matter and allow the Commerce Commission to fine these traders.
She says that some of the supermarkets they are investigating are repeat offenders.
