Concerns have been raised as to why new Bollywood movie, Pink is not being shown in the cinemas in Fiji which was released worldwide last week.
Featuring Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Pink is a powerful statement on the existing mindset of a majority of India, where men and women are judged by a different yardstick.
And if the man happens to be from a powerful family, then the fight for justice is even more skewed.
The movie is doing well worldwide and according to the Times of India, Pink has got critics rating of 4.5 out of 5.
The movie is also doing good on the box office and has raked good revenue in India and other parts of the world.
A number of people who are big fans of Amitabh Bachchan have raised concerns saying the movie should have been released as there is nothing wrong in the movie.
We have spoken to Life Cinemas General Manager, Hamish McGuire who says the movie was scheduled to be released but it was pulled from the list because the owner and distributor of the movie in India decided not to release the movie in Fiji.
He says no reason was given for this decision.
McGuire says they were looking forward to screening the movie but do not have any choice.
Damodar Events Cinemas CEO Div Damodar says the movie Pink was previously offered to be screened in Fiji however due to a Business decision from the distributors, the movie was no longer offered for release.
Damodar says distributors are the licensed owners of the movies and they control the releases for any region or country.
