Many people were affected this morning as a result of an accident in Lami where a vehicle went off-road in Vugalei and a truck which broke down close to the Delainavesi Police Post.

People have raised concerns on why it took a lot of time to have the two vehicles cleared.

We had earlier received reports that motorists were stuck in traffic for as long as one to two hours.

Police Spokesperson, Ana Naisoro has told Fijivillage that she will not be commenting when asked on the minimum time frame of removing of broken down vehicles or vehicles involved in accidents on our roads.

We have also tried to speak to Traffic Police and they have also refused to make a comment.

The two separate incidents caused a huge traffic jam earlier this morning both from Lami to Suva City and from Suva to Lami Town.
