Concerns raised on rubbish collection trucks leaving behind rubbish

People have raised concerns that the rubbish collection trucks leave behind rubbish from where they pick the bins up.

Many people have noticed that workers just throw the bins in the truck and whatever rubbish falls to the ground is just left lying there.

Some people have also raised concerns that not all rubbish put out is picked up which is later seen scattered around.

Fijivillage has sent questions to the CEO of Suva City Council Bijay Chand on how this can be avoided and if council workers can ensure that bins are tipped into the trucks carefully so that rubbish is not left lying around.

We are still awaiting his response.
