A taxi operator from Lami Town has raised serious concern about some people selling cigarette rolls to motorists on the streets of Lami Town and no action has been taken by Police and the Lami Town Council to address this illegal act.
The man told us that these people who are selling rolls hold up traffic.
He says these people are selling cigarette rolls on the main street of Lami which infront of major supermarkets.
When contacted, Police Spokesperson, Ana Naisoro says the Station Officer at the Lami Police Station knows about the issue and they have attended to the issue on several occasions.
She says they are working with the Lami Town Council to identify these people.
Meanwhile, Lami Town Council CEO, Temalesi Kama says they are not aware of this issue and has asked the concerned taxi operator to lodge an official complaint with them.
The man has lodged an official complaint with Lami Town Council this afternoon.
