76 housing units are expected to be available next year after the completion of the second phase of the Lagilagi Housing Project in Jittu Estate, Raiwaqa.

Director of the People’s Community Network Semiti Qalowasa said people living in Jittu Estate will be the first to buy the units but they need to meet the criteria.

Qalowasa said residents who have an account with the People’s Community Network are required to save $40 a week for the two bedroom unit and $50 a week if they want a three bedroom unit.

More than 70 families are currently occupying the units in the first phase of the Lagilagi Housing Project.

PCN Chairman Father Kevin Barr earlier said that the 76 units are expected to cost approximately $9 million and is expected to be completed in June next year.
