Complaints raised about people being harassed near market convenience

If you find it difficult accessing the Suva Municipal Market convenience at night because of any threat in the area you can contact the Fiji Police Force.

This has been made clear by Police after members of the public have raised concerns saying that a lot of people are crowding up close to the venue, smoking, asking for money and calling on people passing by.

Fijivillage also witnessed that some people hanging around the area are intoxicated.

Commissioner of Police Sitiveni Qiliho says they will not risk anyone’s safety and they can assure that officers will be patrolling the area.
