Communities have been appreciative of the Help for Homes Initiative.

The Help for Homes Initiative distribution centre for Ba was coordinated at Sorokoba community hall.

Over 200 people had been assisted through this centre on Thursday and Friday this week.

Fijians that have been assisted have expressed their relief after being presented with e‑cards that would help them to purchase the hardware materials to repair or build new homes.

Village headman for Sorokoba village in Ba, Sakaraia Pe says they have a population of over 400 people and farming is their major source of living.

Pe says there are more than 50 houses in Sorokoba that has been damaged by cyclone Winston.

He says they would like to thank the government for its assistance in rebuilding their lives.

Similar appreciation has also been conveyed by the people of Sawakasa village in Tailevu.

Village headman Sevuloni Bureca has expressed gratitude to the Government for its immediate response to address the plight of those in the affected areas.
