The Commissioner of Police and senior officers today officially welcomed the Minster for Defence, National Security and Immigration, Timoci Natuva at the Fiji Police Headquarters.
Natuva was accorded a quarter guard as well as a traditional welcome ceremony.
In his first official visit as the Minister of Defence, Natuva said he is looking forward to working with the Fiji Police over the next four years.
Natuva added that the Fiji Police internal security must be maintained and they must work together to ensure law and order is at its best as it contributes to the overall growth of the economy.
The Commissioner of Police General Ben Groenewald has assured the Minister of the organisation’s support and wished him well during his term.
