People can expect the cold weather currently being experienced around the country to continue till late next month.
Nadi Weather Office Acting Director, Viliame Vereivalu has confirmed this, saying temperatures went as low as 9.3 degrees celsius in Nadarivatu on the 5th of last month.
Vereivalu says that this is normal for Fiji as cold weather is always experienced in the months of June to August.
He says that low temperatures can be expected in the next few days as a high pressure system is directing cool and dry air towards the Fiji group.
Meanwhile, Vereivalu says Fiji has recorded lower temperatures in the past as the lowest temperature was 6.5 degrees celsius recorded in Nadrau in Ba in August 1986 and in July 1987.
