40‑year‑old security officer Josua Colanaudolu who is facing rape and murder charges, will continue giving evidence in the Suva High Court this morning.
Colanaudolu who is facing one count of murder, 6 counts of rape, 4 counts of abduction and one count of indecently annoying a female, told the High Court that he did not rape any of the girls as alleged and did not murder the 14‑year‑old girl in Deuba last year.
While taking the stand, Colanaudolu told the court that he was threatened in the police vehicle while they were taking him to the Pacific Harbour Community Post on 20th March last year.
Colanaudalu said that he was dragged out of his house and when he was taken in the vehicle, two officers told him to confess that he raped a 17‑year‑old girl.
He said he was also threatened to confess that he raped and murdered a 14‑year‑old girl on Lepanoni Beach.
Colanaudolu said he did not confess to this.
He said he was taken to a roundabout behind the Golf Course, still handcuffed he was blindfolded with a green pompom and chillies were rubbed on his private parts.
Colanaudolu said that the officers punched him on his chest, face and the back of his head and when he fell on the ground, they kicked him.
The charges also include the case where Colanaudolu allegedly abducted, raped and murdered a 14‑year‑old girl in Deuba in March last year.
