The Leader of Jezreel Lion of Judah, Jone Cokanauto’s DNA matched with the first victim’s baby’s DNA.
This was revealed in the Suva High Court today before Judge Justice Salesi Temo.
Cokanauto is charged with multiple counts of rape and indecent assault which allegedly occurred between 2005 and 2012.
The court also heard that the state will produce eight witnesses.
There are four civilian witnesses, three police officers and a doctor.
Justice Temo has set Cokanauto’s trial date from 12th to 23rd June next year.
Cokanauto has pleaded not guilty to his charges.
The case has been adjourned to the 2nd of September for pre-trial conference.
The 55-year-old pastor’s bail has been extended.
