Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama says the Coca-Cola Games is special because regardless of the fierce competition on the field, competitors can come together afterwards as friends and as fellow Fijians.
While speaking at the closing of the 2017 Coca-Cola games at the ANZ National Stadium, Bainimarama congratulated and challenged students and athletes to represent the best that Fiji has to offer.
Bainimarama adds that Fiji is blessed with so many young man and women who understand the importance of discipline and display an unrelenting commitment to excellence.
He urged students and athletes to continue to work hard, as talent alone will not take them anywhere but mental toughness, a competitive drive to do well and a dedication to long hours of training that determine success in competition.
