Participants of Civil Society Organizations who promote gender equality and social inclusion will now be better able to recognize and address the needs of communities.
This was highlighted by the Australian High Commissioner to Fiji, John Feakes during a three day workshop funded by the Australian Government.
Feakes says Civil Society Organizations play an important role by assisting communities in areas of health, education, and emergency response.
He says Australia is also committed to supporting Fiji in it’s effort to improve the social well-being of all Fijians regardless of their geographical boundaries, gender, identity, ethnicity, physical as well as intellectual capability, and social and economic status.
He said the Australian Government will continue to promote Gender Equality and Social Inclusion by supporting Civil Society Organizations through its training workshops.
The workshop was attended by members from the nine Civil Society Organizations partners.
