It was a proud moment for the Director of Value City Limited Vera Chute as she won the Business Woman of the year award last night during the 2014 Women in Business Awards.
Chute who received her award was emotional as she recalled the very beginnings of what started off as a family business.
Chute said all the credit goes to her parents who started the business in Labasa.
She said it was one of the toughest decisions in her life to make when her parents asked her to leave her job and join Value City Limited.
Meanwhile, Executive Director of the Fiji Women's Rights Movement Virisila Buadromo won the Executive Woman of the Year Award while Beatrice Nast the Managing Director & Shareholder of Westside Motorbike Rentals Fiji Limited won the Aspiring Entrepreneur of the year award.
