Christopher Pryde has been appointed as the new Director of Public Prosecutions by the President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau yesterday.
Pryde will replace outgoing DPP, Ayesha Jinasena who is returning home to Sri Lanka.
Pryde's position as Solicitor-General, he has held since 2007 and position as Permanent Secretary for Justice and Anti-corruption held since 2009, will be relinquished.
Meanwhile, Deputy Solicitor-General Sharvada Sharama will serve as Acting Solicitor-General.
