Thousands of Christians will be attending church services throughout the country this morning to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
The President for the Methodist Church in Fiji Reverend Dr Tevita Bainivanua has called on Christians throughout the country to be true followers of Christ’s teachings.
Bainivanua says when we talk about Easter, we are talking about the promotion of the Kingdom of God and its values.
He says the suffering and death that Jesus went through was seen as a full and perfect sacrifice for the sins of the world and of mankind.
Bainivanua urges all Christians in Fiji to reflect the way of Jesus Christ this Easter.
He says it will not be easy as they will have to go through difficult times.
