Chinese fugitive to be deported tonight

The Chinese fugitive who was stopped from leaving the country by Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority officers over the weekend will be deported to China tonight.

Wang Zu Lin has also been fined $1,500 by the Nadi Magistrates Court for failing to declare currency at the Nadi Airport.

Zu Lin who is a known imposter in China, had arrived in Fiji through a fishing vessel and was leaving the country for Samoa.

FRCA officers conducted a body search of the passenger and recovered $10,534.77 of undeclared cash.

He was wanted by Chinese Police for some time.
