Police say they were able to arrest Ravindra Chand and Mukesh Raj Naidu from information received through their Crime Stoppers helpline who had bench warrants against them and were wanted for separate cases of obtaining financial advantage by deception.
Ravindra Chand who was wanted for questioning for a case of obtaining financial advantage by deception, is currently remanded at Natabua Corrections Centre.
He was arrested following a tip received through the Crime Stoppers helpline and was escorted to the Sigatoka Police Station.
It is alleged that Chand falsely operated as a legal clerk promising to conduct some legal work for a woman in return for $2,000.
Police say they are grateful for the support shown by the members of the public and they are encouraging others to utilize the Crime Stoppers 919 helpline to report criminal activities and provide information that could lead to the arrest of those wanted persons.
