The Fiji Police Force will be closing off the Southern Cross Road junction to Nasova Road junction from the next hour till 5pm as there will be a rehearsal for operational officers ahead of tomorrow’s traditional welcome ceremony for Pacific Islands Development Forum VIPs at Valenibose at Nasova.
Motorists are requested to take alternative routes during this time.
The Fiji Police Force will be temporarily closing off certain roads during the 3rd PIDF which will be held at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva from tomorrow.
Chief of Operations, ACP Rusiate Tudravu says Victoria Parade from the Southern Cross road junction to Ratu Cakobau Road junction will be closed from tomorrow till Friday from 8.30am to 5pm.
He adds that Queen Elizabeth Drive from the Ratu Cakobau road junction to Nasova road junction will also be closed from 2pm to 5.30pm tomorrow in order to facilitate the traditional welcome ceremony for the PIDF VIPs at Valenibose in Nasova.
Motorists are advised to expect frequent police motorcade escorts of VIPs during the meeting.
