The case of a 48‑year‑old man who is alleged to have raped and sexually assaulted his de-facto partner’s daughter has been adjourned to tomorrow.
The man is charged with 4 counts of rape.
The victim in the case is under the age of 13.
The alleged offences took place on three separate occasions.
The first incident occurred between the 1st to the 31st of December 2017, the second incident occurred between the 1st of January 2018 to the 12th of July 2018 while the third incident occurred on the 13th of July 2018 in Vatuwaqa.
The man is being represented by Jiten Reddy Lawyers.
The man through the defence counsel, Bulameke Qioniwasa has raised the question on why his bail was not granted on the last occasion.
High Court Judge Justice Chamath Morais has adjourned the case to tomorrow to hear his bail application.
