Candidate numbers draw to be held tomorrow

People will know the candidates numbers for next month’s General Elections tomorrow as the candidate numbers draw will be done at 10am tomorrow at the Grand Pacific Hotel.

This has been confirmed by Electoral Commission Chairman Suresh Chandra.

508 will be the first number that will be drawn.

Meanwhile the Electoral Commission has dismissed the 7 objections that were filed against candidates for next month’s General Elections.

Chandra says that there were 6 objections against FijiFirst candidates while there was one objection against all HOPE Party candidates.

When asked by Fijivillage if they can provide the candidates that were objected against, Chandra says they cannot give that detail as yet, as they are in the process of advising the parties.

Chandra says the names will be published later.
