The National Secretary of the Confederation of Public Sector Unions Rajeshwar Singh is calling on the Acting Prime Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum to name the unionists who are campaigning and aligned with political parties.
Singh also confirms that the public sector unions attended some meetings about the reforms however he says they stopped going.
Rajeshwar Singh then said that the unions believe that the civil service reforms are failing, and he said that the reforms were handled well during Sitiveni Rabuka’s time.
When questioned by Fijivillage, Singh said that none of the union officials of Fiji Public Service Association, Fiji Teachers Union, Fijian Teachers Association and Fiji Nursing Association are campaigning or aligned with any of the political parties.
