Call made to verify video of child getting beaten up by adult

A call has been made to verify the video of a child getting badly beaten up by an adult.

The video has gone viral on social media.

The Fiji Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Commission is deeply concerned over the video showing a child crying in pain as the child is bashed by an adult.

Commission Director Ashwin Raj is calling on Police to verify the video.

Raj says the commission condemns such barbaric acts and requests the police to investigate the veracity of the images posted on social media.

The Commission is also urging members of the public to assist Police with any information they may have regarding the video and the incident.
