The Chief Executive Officer of Consumer Council of Fiji, Premila Kumar has resigned from her position.
Chair of the council, Raman Dahia says the board has accepted Kumar’s resignation with deep regret noting her dedicated service to the organisation for close to 12 years, over which period she has lifted the image and visibility of the council to a very high level through her able and dynamic leadership.
Dahia says the board appreciates and acknowledges the immense contribution she has made in lifting the profile of the council and the confidence of all consumers who are now more assertive and knowledgeable about their consumer rights and responsibilities.
He says Kumar has many successes to her credit as CEO and one among the many, is that she has worked with the line Ministry in ensuring a new office premises, moving just few weeks ago, and a decent budget from the Government to serve the Fijian consumers.
