Charges have been laid against a Nadi businessman in relation to a parcel containing pseudoephedrine drug which was seized by Customs officers earlier this week.
The businessman has been charged with one count of Importation of Controlled Chemical.
He has been released on $2,000 bail with two sureties by the Nadi Magistrates court and is expected to appear in the Lautoka High court on 10th September.
He has been ordered to report at Namaka Police Station every Sunday.
In a joint statement Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority and the Fiji Police Force had confirmed that the parcel containing five plastic packets of white powder were sent from Ukraine.
