A bus driver charged with bribery of public official will be sentenced on Friday by Nausori Magistrate Shageeth Somaratne.
Rajesh Singh had bribed a police officer by offering him $10 when he was stopped and asked to show his drivers licence on 23rd April 2014 in Koronivia.
Singh had told the officer to take the $10 as he did not have his licence and he did not want to be booked.
Magistrate Somaratne stated that the prosecution witnesses had demonstrated how Singh had offered the money which was sticking out of his record book that he handed to the police on that day.
