Foundation for the Education of Needy Children in Fiji has today received a donation of $8,000 from Burger King at its flagship restaurant in Martintar Nadi.

Since 2016 Burger King has raised around $58,000 for Foundation for the Education of Needy Children in Fiji through donations received in the form of loose change from its customers.

Foundation for the Education of Needy Children in Fiji plays a pivotal role by empowering the poor children to realise their potential through the provision of education assistance and related support.

Burger King General Manager Akash Narsey says education is a key element in escaping poverty and they are dedicated in assisting Foundation for the Education of Needy Children in Fiji.

All five Burger King outlets in Fiji carry donation boxes to support FENC Fiji in raising funds for their various activities such as providing scholarships, covering basic school supplies such as school uniforms, shoes, bags, books and stationaries for primary and secondary school children.
