Broken down truck in Vugalei along Queens Highway causes huge traffic jam this morning

Police are currently attending to an accident in Vugalei involving a truck that broke down along the Queens Highway close to the Delainavesi Police Post causing a huge traffic jam.

Lami Police have confirmed to Fijivillage that a vehicle went off-road in Vugalei while a truck has broken down in Delainavesi.

We also received confirmation that traffic police are attending to traffic control.

Meanwhile, we have received reports that motorists have been stuck in traffic for as long as one to two hours and in this time have moved about 500 meters ahead due to traffic.

An eye witness told Fijivillage that LTA is currently at the scene where the truck has broken down however there is no indication of any authority working to remove the truck.

Police say that they cannot determine how long it will take to remove the truck.
