Breach of the Electoral Decree reported to police

The Fiji Police Force confirms that they have received a complaint letter in relation to the alleged breach of the Electoral Decree during the political campaign blackout period.

Police Chief of Operations ACP Rusiate Tudravu said they are looking into the allegations and are conducting initial investigations before forwarding the matter to FICAC.

The complaint letter about some party banners still up in public places and some campaign material still up on party social media sites was sent to the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, the Supervisor of Elections, Commissioner of Police, FICAC and the Multinational Observer Group.
