All throughout the 70th Emmy Awards, HBO and Netflix were neck and neck.
HBO has been number one at the Emmys for the past 16 years, winning more awards than any other network, but Netflix has been steadily creeping up on HBO.
And this looked like the year Netflix might actually pull ahead.
Instead: A TIE! Both HBO and Netflix picked up 23 Emmys this year.
HBO’s “Game of Thrones” won the final award of the day, for outstanding drama.
Best Actress, in a Drama Series was won by Claire Foy for her role in “The Crown” while Best Actor, in a Drama Series was awarded to Matthew Rhys for the film “The Americans”
Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series was won by Thandie Newton in“Westworld” while Game of Thrones Peter Dinklage won Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.
The Best Limited Series was won by “The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story” and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel won 4 awards including Outstanding Comedy Series.
Henry Winkler won outstanding supporting actor in a comedy series for his role in the HBO film “Barry”.
Winkler played the role of greaser Arthur "Fonzie" Fonzarelli, the breakout character of the 1970s American sitcom Happy Days.
