Blood donation is a generous act of unity that saves lives.
This was highlighted by Assistant Minister for Health Alex O’Connor at the commemoration of the 2018 "World Blood Donor Day"celebration.
He says blood donation is an act that echoes our common humanity, which has huge implications for health and ethics, an act that demands respect and the highest vigilance.
O’Connor also took time to pay tribute to all the volunteers, whose commitment is exemplary, to all those who strive to create a more effective and just health system with greater solidarity.
More than 200 people gathered at the Naulumatua ground in Nabouwalu for the event.
