Bhatnagar told to withdraw statement on NFP Leader Biman Prasad promoting beer

A point of order was raised in parliament today when Assistant Minister for Woman and Children, Veena Bhatnagar had stated that NFP Leader, Biman Prasad was promoting beer.

Bhatnagar was speaking on the suffering women and children go through with domestic violence, child abuse and molestation.

She says Biman Prasad and Prem Singh are feeling sorry for the beer buyers.

However Prasad stood up and said that this is not true.

Speaker of Parliament Dr Jiko Luveni then said that she agreed with Prasad that they were not promoting beer.

Bhatnagar said that it adds up to that, to which the Speaker said that it was not the case.

Bhatnagar then withdrew her statement.
