A training focused on personal development and financial skills development for widows has been launched in Lautoka.
Speaking at the opening of the training program, Assistant Minister for Women Veena Bhatnagar says there will be no fees charged for the training or for accommodation that will be provided for widows participating during the period of training.
She says at the end of the program, participants should have the confidence to decide whether they wish to enter paid employment or to start their own micro-businesses.
The training is being funded by the Lifebread Stay Connected Foundation.
