New Party Leader Sitiveni Rabuka said it is sad that Mick Beddoes has decided to resign from SODELPA.
Rabuka said the resignation of Mick Beddoes had come as a surprise because he had assured his support for him in 2012.
Mick Beddoes said that he met Rabuka in Bali in 2012 but there were no discussions about him supporting Rabuka.
Beddoes said he has a number of options available to him but none of those include joining the party of a coup leader.
Beddoes resigned from SODELPA yesterday saying that Rabuka represents everything that he is opposed to.
SODELPA’s Parliamentary Leader Ro Teimumu Kepa said the resignation of Mick Beddoes has shown the consistency in his values.
