The outgoing President of the Methodist church in Fiji Dr. Tevita Banivanua has officially opened the Bose Ko Viti at the Centenary Church in Suva this morning.
Banivanua has called on the new leadership to continue with the hard work and dedication that has been put in place by previous leaders.
Banivanua also called on the members of the Methodist church to support the new initiative of the 10 cents per plastic bag because they were part of its establishment.
He also called for support of the presidency role at the COP23.
Banivanua also asked the members of conference to come up with new ideas that can help the church prosper.
It was also revealed in the meeting that an MOU signing was done by the Methodist Church in Britain and the Methodist Church in Canberra, Griffith.
In this MOU the two will follow the Methodist Church in Fiji and its constitution.
This MOU will see the Methodist Church in Britain and the Methodist Church in Canberra, Griffith take direction from and follow the teaching of the church leadership in Fiji.
All appointments of the Reverend and pastors of the three churches will come from the Bose Ko Viti.
