Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem said the printing of ballot papers is going ahead as scheduled and work on the printing is expected to finish last night.
Saneem said they anticipate printing close to seven hundred and fifteen thousand ballot papers.
He said they will follow a criteria when issuing ballot papers on the day of elections.
Saneem said as for postal voting, the number of ballot papers they send out to registered voters will be determined by the number of applications they receive.
He said the same is being done for Fijians living overseas.
There were 7,000 postal voting applications as yet 4pm yesterday. The application period closed at 6 last night.
Saneem also said observers and political parties toured Star Printery with the presence of Police Officers who have been monitoring the work at the printing company.
Meanwhile pre-polling for about 50,000 voters will start next Wednesday.
