Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has sent a message of condolence on behalf of the Fijian Government and Fijian people to his British Counterpart, Theresa May in the wake of the terrorist attack on the Houses of Parliament in London.

He says that Fiji is especially shocked by this brazen assault on the "mother of all parliaments" and the seat of Britain’s democracy.
Bainimarama adds that the news came as the Fiji Parliament met in Suva today.
He also assured our British counterparts that Fiji stands shoulder to shoulder with the United Kingdom to defeat the terrorist threat.
Bainimarama says that Fiji and the United Kingdom’s warm friendship is rooted not only in our historical ties but in our shared values and Fiji stands ready to support the United Kingdom in any way we can.
