The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team is gearing up for their first pool match against Wales in the Hamilton Sevens this morning.
It is the second year Hamilton has hosted the New Zealand leg after it moved North from Wellington.
Speaking to Fijivillage from Hamilton Coach Gareth Baber and his Captain Kalione Nasoko say they have full confidence that the team will deliver as expected.
Nasoko stresses they will treat every game like a final.
16 teams will be vying for the title in the two-day tournament.
Baber has also highlighted that they will await the unexpected from Wales.
Meanwhile Scotland will take on France in the opening match of the Hamilton 7's at 9am.
Defending champions, Fiji will take on Wales in their first match of the Hamilton 7s at 10.52am this morning, they will then face Argentina at 2.42pm and take on Australia at 6.52pm in their last pool game later this evening.
The Cup Quarters will start at 10.36am tomorrow, the semifinals will kick off at 3.16pm and the final will start at 7.10pm tomorrow.
In the opening match of the Hamilton 7's Scotland has made an outstanding comeback to defeat France 26-21. France was leading Scotland 7-0 two minutes before fulltime before Scotland managed two tries and a successful conversion to crush the hopes of the French team in their first pool game.

In other pool matches this morning, South Africa defeated Kenya 29-10. South Africa’s Warner Kok says its now about taking a game at a time.
In another match Samoa defeated England 12-10.
