Ba Mission Hospital is expected to go through maintenance following discussions between the Assistant Minister for Health & Medical Services Veena Bhatnagar and the Ba Board of Visitors.
Bhatnagar said whilst the new Ba hospital commences with construction, it is important that the current hospital is not neglected.
Bhatnagar said the Ministry will be looking at making minor improvements to the current structure so that people are comfortable accessing health services.
Issues discussed with the Ba Board of Visitors included space, cleanliness and staffing issues and strategic ways to further improve these areas as well the Ba Mission Hospital infrastructure.
She said the Ministry of Health will also be looking at increasing the establishment of doctors at the Ba Mission Hospital to cater and service the large population.
Meanwhile, Ba Advisory Councillor Mukesh Chand said there is greater need to improve the toilet facilities at the Ba Mission Hospital.
Chand has made a request to the Assistant Minister for Health that pharmacy’s consider opening during weekends to decrease waiting time for patients seeking medicines.
