The presentation made today will in turn help people improve and rebuild their lives.
Bank of the South Pacific Country Manager, Kevin McCarthy made this comment while handing over $100,000 to the Reserve Bank of Fiji Governor, Barry Whiteside regarding the upcoming 2016 Global Policy Forum for the Alliance of Financial Inclusion which will be hosted in Fiji later this year.
McCarthy says that this presentation was given to help the Reserve Bank host and cater for the upcoming Global Policy Forum.
He adds that the Forum is a way leaders of the world can come together to share ideas on how to improve peoples lives in their respective countries.
Meanwhile BSP Senior Manager Rural, Isikeli Taoi spoke to LegendFM News saying that this is being done to also help the government bring aid to people who currently don't have access to the services offered by banks.
He adds that government workers who get posted in remote islands will be able to get paid through eftpos machines at Post Fiji outlets.
Meanwhile this is the first time Fiji is hosting the Forum.
The Global Forum Policy for the alliance of Financial Inclusion will be held in September at Denarau and will be attended by over 500 delegates from different countries.
