Bank of the South Pacific which is charged under the Trust Accounts Act will take its plea in the Suva Magistrates Court this afternoon.
The matter was called at the Suva Magistrates Court this morning and BSP General Manager Operations Sharyne Fong represented the regional bank in court.
The Director of Public Prosecutions charged BSP with failing to comply with the requirements of opening a trust account.
BSP’s lawyer Alvina Ali told the court that they are ready to take a plea but the state counsel has not submitted the summary of facts with the disclosures.
The prosecution asked for time to submit the summary of facts.
Magistrate Priyantha Liyange said the matter will be called at 2.30 this afternoon to allow the prosecution to submit the summary of facts and for BSP to take the plea.
